Explorations Mental Health Services is seeking Mobile Therapists (MT). The MT is an independent contractor position and a member of an interdisciplinary clinical team in what is known as “wraparound” or Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services (BHRS). The MT is responsible for providing insight into family dynamics and for providing support and assistance in the development of adaptive skills in order for the child or adolescent to take a more positive role in the family.  The MT provides services primarily in the youth’s home.

• $35.00 per hour
• Flexible schedule; MT’s may work before-school, after-school, early evening, and/or weekend hours, depending on needs

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

• Review and provide assessment of the child and ensure medical necessity for the child's involvement in the service.
• Provide insight into family dynamics; provide support and assistance in the development of adaptive skills in order for the child to take a more positive role in the family.
• Provide child centered, family focused, individual, and family psychotherapy.
• Conduct sessions with the child or adolescent, family, and community members.
• Be a clinical leader and develop a treatment plan, as required.
• Travel to and from clients' home to perform duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree in a mental health field with a clinical practicum/internship providing individual, family and group therapy.
• Minimum of one year direct experience providing clinically supervised treatment to children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances.
• Specific training in individual and family therapy models as well as mental health issues.
• Due to itinerant nature of position, must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have or obtain Professional Liability Insurance.
• Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and DHS FBI (dated within one year)
• TB Test/Physical (dated within one year)
• Sexual Misconduct/ Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168)
• Official Transcripts/Diploma
