Explorations Mental Health Services is seeking licensed Behavior Specialist Consultants (BSC). There are both full-time AND independent contractor/fee-for-service opportunities available.  The BSC is a member of an interdisciplinary clinical team in what is known as “wraparound” or Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services (BHRS) and will be responsible for providing services to clients throughout Montgomery County, PA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

• Provide assessment, program design, and monitoring of clients in the area of behavioral management. Develop treatment plans for the client.
• Review and train members of the treatment team on the implementation of the behavioral treatment plan.
• Participate in collaborative consultations including IEP meetings, psychological evaluations and meetings with MH/IDD and medical, educational and therapeutic personnel.
• Complete and submit appropriate paperwork and documentation within required timelines.
• Travel to and from clients' home/school/community program to perform duties.
• Carry approximately 8-10 BHRS cases averaging three (3) hours per week
• Cover weekly TSS group supervisions as needed (frequency may increase as staff numbers increase)
• Cover existing cases as needed, including drafting treatment plans and PCNs, attending psych evaluations, and managing ISPT meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Behavior Specialist License with 1 year FT experience in providing ABA and 12 credits in ABA training/coursework OR
• Behavior Specialist License with 1 year FT experience working under a BCBA and 40 hours of training related to ABA (can be within graduate degree program or post-graduate training)
• Other clinical licenses may be considered (e.g. Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, or Licensed Professional Counselor) if working with clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Clinicians with independent PA Promise/Medicaid enrollment strongly desired.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Due to itinerant nature of position, must have a valid driver's license.
• Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and DHS FBI (dated within one year)
• TB Test/Physical (dated within one year)
• Sexual Misconduct/ Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168)
• Official Transcripts/Diploma

SALARY:

• For full-time opportunities, we offer a competitive salary ($60,000-$65,000) plus benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.
• For independent contractor/fee-for/service, the pay rate is based on credentials:
• $37.00/hour for regular BSC
• $41.00/hour for licensed BSC able to provide ABA services
• $61.50/hour for licensed BSC & BCBA
